Podcast Episode 262: IT Chapter Two and Entertainment News Catch-Up


In this week's episode David, John and Kyle catch up with entertainment news with a supersized In and Out Points. First, we discuss the “Maisel Day” Emmy campaign stunt (2:20), Richard Linklater’s movie that is 20 years in the making (7:35) and the new professor at University of Texas at Austin: Matthew McConaughey (13:35). We also discuss a new TV setting called “Filmmaker Mode” (18:55), AMC Theaters showing football games on the big screen (25:15), the five billionth Netflix DVD mailed out (30:55) and a study that tries to prove that longer movies are better (35:05). Finally, we review the horror sequel IT Chapter Two (39:55).

Podcast Episode 261: Predictions for the 2019 Primetime Emmy Awards (71st Primetime Emmys)


Every year we try to predict the very unpredictable Emmys in a very special episode of Dual Redundancy. This year Dave and Kyle try and forecast who will take home the Emmy in all the major categories for the 71st Primetime Emmy Awards. The ceremony will be on Sunday, September 22nd on FOX.

We predict the acting categories for the drama series (6:00), limited series (24:35) and comedy series (39:35) categories before looking at the main three: outstanding drama series, outstanding limited series, and outstanding comedy series (56:35).
